Renting a car has been a challenge. Since the pandemic, it has been difficult for people to find a car to reserve at a price they can afford. This is why we chose to reserve a car thru Costco Travel Car Rental for our Summer 2021 trip out of Bozeman, Montana.

Here are a 4 reasons why we chose to use Costco Travel Car Rental:

Low Price
After checking car rental prices for months, renting an SUV thru Costco cost us $500 less than renting directly thru car rental companies. We reserved our car 3 months in advance and checked prices regularly in order to find the best deal.

No Prepay
When booking thru Costco, you don’t have to pre-pay for your rental car. Once you book your reservation, you will receive a confirmation number. This is helpful in the event you have to change dates or cancel your trip. I prefer not to pre-pay in advance because plans can change.

Additional Driver
Car rental companies charge to add an additional driver. This can add up quickly when these extra fees are charged daily. Costco Travel doesn’t charge for adding one additional driver which is a nice perk.

Cancellation
If you need to cancel your car reservation, there is no penalty. Also, because no prepayment is required at the time of booking, you do not need to wait to be refunded. In the event that you forgot to cancel and are a no show, there is no penalty.

Overall, I found that Costco Travel Car Rental was the best deal. Always cost compare when booking your trip. I think you will be pleased with the prices and terms Costco has to offer when compared to other rental car companies.
